The short version
Sayo is practice, not treatment. It does not diagnose anything and does not replace a therapist.Cancel whenever you like, from the Me screen. No retention screen, and no phone call needed.Your practice history stays yours, including after you stop paying. If something in the app is wrong or unclear, tell us and we will fix it.

This box is a summary for convenience. The sections below are the terms that apply.

Who we are, and what this covers

Sayo is operated by [legal entity name], registered at [registered address], company number [number]. These terms cover the Sayo app on phone and tablet, this website, and the practice content inside them.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not create an account.

What Sayo is, and what it is not

Sayo provides structured practice exercises in speaking, language, memory and thinking. The exercises implement protocols used in speech and language therapy, and each one names the protocol it is based on.

Sayo does not provide rehabilitation services. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, does not guarantee any improvement, and is not a substitute for assessment or treatment by a licensed clinician. It is not a medical device.

If your speech, language or thinking changes suddenly, or you have any new symptom that worries you, contact your doctor or emergency services. Do not use this app instead of medical care.

Your account

You need to be 18 or over to create an account. One account is for one person: your levels and history describe your practice, so sharing an account makes them meaningless.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

Paying, and cancelling

Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe. If we change the price we will tell you at least [30] days before it affects you, and you can cancel before it does.

You can cancel at any time from the Me screen: one button and a confirmation. There is no retention screen and no phone call required, though you can also cancel by emailing help@sayo.app and we will do it for you.

Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel within [14] days of first subscribing and have not used the paid features, email us and we will refund it in full.

Where you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, that store handles the payment and cancellation, and their refund rules apply.

Free plan: nothing to pay, no time limit, five practice areas.Plus: all exercises and areas, billed monthly or yearly.Clinic: agreed separately with your organisation.

Using it properly

Please do not copy the exercise content out of the app, resell access, try to break into other people’s accounts, or upload anything unlawful. If you do any of that we may close your account.

The exercise content, the app and the Sayo name belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You get to use them; you do not get to own them.

Working with a clinician

If you connect a clinician, they can see your practice and assign areas. You control that connection and can end it whenever you like, from the Progress screen.

Whether a clinician can bill for reviewing your practice depends on their credentials, their setting and current payer rules. That is between them and their payer. We do not advise on billing or coding.

When things go wrong

We try to keep Sayo working and accurate, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never contain a mistake. It is provided as it is.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the [12] months before the problem arose.

Changes, and the law that applies

If we change these terms we will tell you in the app and by email, and the date at the top will change. Carrying on using Sayo after that means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales], and disputes go to the courts of [England and Wales]. This does not affect the consumer rights you have where you live.

Questions about these terms, or want to cancel? Email help@sayo.app or ring 0800 000 0000.
