The short version
Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose to send them.We do not use your voice or your practice data to train anything. We never sell your information, and we do not run advertising.Ask us to delete everything and we will, within 30 days.

This box is a summary for convenience. The sections below are what applies.

What we collect

Only what the app needs to work. We do not buy information about you from anyone else.

Your name and email address, so you can sign in.Your answers to the four sign-up questions — what gets in the way, where it matters, how you want to practice, how long you have. These are about your day, not your diagnosis. What you practiced: which exercises, when, how long, and how each attempt went.Your settings, such as larger text or reduced motion.Basic technical information about the device and app version, so we can fix crashes.

What we deliberately do not collect

We never ask for your diagnosis, your medication, your medical history or your date of birth. The sign-up questions are functional on purpose: we do not need to know what happened to you in order to give you something to practice.

Your voice recordings

Recordings stay on your device. They are not uploaded when you finish an exercise, and they are not part of your normal practice history.

A recording leaves your device only when you choose to send it — by sharing a session with a clinician you have connected, or by attaching it to a message to our support team. You tick it in; nothing is implied.

We do not use your voice, or anything else you do in the app, to train speech recognition or any other model. If that ever changes it will be opt-in, and off until you turn it on.

What we use it for

Running your account, building your daily path, keeping your levels and streaks, replying when you contact us, and finding out what is broken. That is the whole list.

We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising, and we do not share your information with advertisers. We do not profile you for anything other than choosing your next exercise.

Who else sees it

A clinician sees your practice only if you connect them, and only for as long as you leave that connection on. You can end it from the Progress screen, and they keep nothing afterwards.

We use a small number of suppliers to run the service — hosting, email delivery, payment processing, crash reporting. They act on our instructions, they are contractually bound, and none of them get your recordings. The current list is at [link], and we will name any change in this page’s update note.

How long we keep it

Your account and practice history stay while your account is open. Ask us to delete them and we will, within 30 days, apart from anything we have to keep for accounting or legal reasons — which we will tell you about.

If you have not signed in for [24] months we will email you, and delete the account if you do not come back.

Your rights over your information

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Email privacy@sayo.app or ring help@sayo.app and we will help — you do not need to put it in writing if that is hard for you.

You can also complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Keeping it safe

Information is encrypted in transit and where it is stored. Access inside our team is limited to the people who need it. If a breach ever affects you we will tell you and the regulator within the time the law requires.

Children, and where your information lives

Sayo is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Your information is stored in [region]. Where a supplier is outside it, we use the safeguards the law requires for that transfer.
